Planning and Zoning

The Greene County Planning and Zoning Department is responsible for the coordination of future growth in Greene County.

Bart Svoboda is the Planning and Zoning Administrator.  The planning office is located in the county administration office at 40 Celt Road in Stanardsville and can be reached at 985-5282

Building Inspections
Building, electrical, plumbing and mechanical permits for new construction, alterations and additions are issued by the inspections department. Bonnie Eppard, Eric Woolford, and Travis Estes are the Erosion and Sediment Control Administrators.  Stephen P. Borders, chief building official and building inspectors. The office is located in the Greene County Administration Building in Stanardsville and can be reached at 985-5204

Planning Commission
The Planning Commission meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:30pm. in the County Board Room in the County Administration Building which is located at 40 Celt Road in Stanardsville. Commissioners are appointed to four-year terms. The commission includes: Graydon Lamb-chairman, Davis Lamb Mike Skeens, and Phyllis Woodfolk.
