Greene County Treasurer
The Greene County Treasurer is a constitutional officer (required by the Virginia Constitution), who is elected by the citizens of Greene County.


Gail Berry is Greene County’s Treasurer. Her office is located in Court Square, Stanardsville and she can be reached by calling 985-1456.

Responsibilities of the Treasurer are to collect and record all tax revenues and local fees, to represent Greene County in banking matters, and to manage the investments of county funds.

Important tax dates include:
January 31
Dog License Renewal

June 1
Business License Renewal Due

May 1
Virginia State Income Tax Due
Tax Relief Form for Elderly & Disabled Due

June 5th
First half of Personal Property Tax
First half of Real Estate Tax
First half of Machinery and Tools Tax

December 5th
Second half of Personal Property Tax
Second half of Real Estate Tax
Second half of Machinery and Tools Tax
