Greene County Solid Waste Facility
Greene County operates a solid waste facility at 358 Mays Road, Stanardsville, VA 22973.

Allen Morris is the Solid Waste Manager for the Greene County Solid Waste Facility. He can be reached by calling 985-5215.

Greene County Solid Waste is a Full Service Recycling Center. Recyclable items include: Plastic ( #1 Plastic, #2 Plastic, milk jugs, soda bottles, etc.); Glass (Clear, Brown, Green); Paper (Newspaper, Phonebooks, Magazines); Metals (Tin Cans, Aluminum cans and foil); Corrugated cardboard.Hours of operation at the facility are: Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Tipping fees are:

30 Gallon Single (household garbage) $1
30 Gallon Single Booklet (12 tickets) $9
50 Gallon Single $2
50 Gallon Booklet (12 tickets) $16
Small Furniture $5
Large Furniture $15
All metal must be separated before arriving at the facility.
Small Piece of Scrap Metal
(Bicycle, lawn mower, etc.) $5
Large Scrap Metal $10
Small Appliance (TV, microwave, etc.) $5
White Goods (Appliances) $15
Tires must be removed from rim/wheel
Car Tires $2
