Break out the smelling salts: Wake 14, UVa 0 (1st Qtr.)
Both teams are playing some sloppy football. Eugene Monroe thinks he is playing for Miami - he has two false start penalties. ... I take that back. Wake Forest just burned UVa safety Byron Glaspy for a 58-yard touchdown pass. How can a safety let a wideout get behind him in coverage? Glaspy looked like he was going to go for the interception and then slipped. Ras-I Dowling was in coverage, too, but likely thought he had help from his safety. That’s what you get for assuming. ... Wake is in control of this one at this point and Virgina is lucky it is not worse. ... Riley Skinner is trying to earn ACC Player of the Year votes at Virginia’s expense.
