Call it a 5-star finding: UVa lands a star
Robby Andrews, a standout from Manalapan High in New Jersey, gave a verbal commitment earlier this month to run at Virginia.
Andrews is considered one of the top prep performers in the 800-meter run and the mile.
“It was definitely the coach,“ Andrews told a local reporter after his decision. “He has a nice record.“
Andrews, who was second last year in the mile at the Milrose Games and the Penn Relays, hopes now to land close friend Brett Johnson, another standout from New Jersey.
