Designated for Assignment

Fumbling it away: Georgia Tech 20, Virginia 7 (3rd Qtr.)

Virginia got the ball to open the second half and after Verica was sacked on second down (he should have thrown it away), wide receiver Dontrelle Inman had the ball taken from his hands on a 19-yard reception that would have given the offense a first down. The robber on the play that saw Inman run into a pair of teammates was right cornerback Mario Butler. It was a sad play that sums up the issues facing Virginia offensive coordinator Bill Lazor. ... Georgia Tech took advantage of the miscue and scored quickly, perhaps sealing this game with 8:27 left in the third quarter.

pass - 19 yards - forced and receover by No. 2
