Hall gets the call - Gretna High retires UVa cornerback’s jersey
In a stellar four-year career at Gretna, Vic Hall accumulated a state record 13,770 yards from scrimmage, the fifth-best figure all-time nationally.
Hall also passed for 8,731 yards, breaking Ronald Curry’s state record, and Hall owns the state record with 104 touchdown passes.
“This is really high on my list of achievements,“ Hall told reporters. “I didn’t just do this for me. This is for all the players I played with and the coaches and my family. I want to thank God, my family, friends, the team I played with - the fans are great around here and I’m glad to have my jersey retired at Gretna.“
Hall remains listed at cornerback at Virginia.
