Hedgeman, a senior, found the end zone for the third time with 2:53 left in the third quarter. Hedgeman passed Virginia tailback Cedric Peerman, who scored 50 touchdowns for William Campbell in 2002. ... Call me crazy, but some school, Division I-A or Division I-AA, is going to luck out on this kid. Last week, as I watched, Takeem showed toughness. Monticello probably has closer to 1,800, but they sound like about 5,000. The listed figure afterwards will be misleading as fans have already arrived to watch Amherst play Sherando. ... Richlands scored with 9:24 left in the fourth to trim the margin. ... Monticello senior Jake Miles was hurt several minutes ago, but after limping off the field he is jumping around the room.
