Rock bottom blues: Duke 24, Virginia 3 (4th Qtr.)

Nothing has gone Virginia’s way in the second half. Well, almost nothing. At least Clint Sintim and Ras-Dowling were able to come back onto the field. ... It appears that it will be a long year in Hooville. ... How many fans will dress up like empty seats next week against Maryland? ... A host of Virginia fans are headed for the exits. I can’t blame them at this point. It is painful to watch this mess. ... Message boards are blowing up. How long before Jim Grobe’s name gets thrown around? How about that stellar coach at Vandy? ... FYI, Virginia brought seven true freshmen to the game today (not that you care, but I counted out of boredom). ... Austin Pasztor played a lot in the second half (if not all of it) for Zak Stair. The John Shuman pupil looked good. ... Virginia just got the ball back with 4:56 left and Marc Verica remains in there. And there was another interception. Ouch. Dear Mr. Littlepage, can you call Pete Lalich? Classes don’t start at Oregon State until Monday. You are on the clock.
