Role reversal: UVa 10, Miami 7 (1st Qtr.)
After moving into the red zone thanks to a nice reception from Maurice Covington, Virginia got tricky. UVa quarterback Marc Verica handed off to Cedric Peerman. It appeared that the play was headed to the left side of the field when Pastor Peerman flipped the ball to wideout Kevin Ogletree, who scooted around the right side and into the end zone for a 16-yard run. Miami could not have been ready for that since it is a rather new look for Virginia. It was Ogletree’s first run of the season. He did have seven, however, in 2006. He missed last season with a torn ACL. ... Props to Mike Groh for the excellent timing on the reverse. ... Cedric Peerman is running with authority. He planted his pads on one Miami defender that will certainly not forget it. ... Rodney McLeod made a great open-field tackle on the ensuing kickoff. He is going to be quite a player at Virginia. Add cornerback Chris Cook to the mix next year and you will likely have one of the top three defensive backfields in the ACC.
