After being asked what the policy actually was, UVa officials released the following: “Banners, signs and flags are allowed in athletics venues provided they do not impede another guest’s view of the competition, cover any venue signage, and/or are not attached to the facility. Banners, signs, and flags on poles or sticks are prohibited. Athletics Event Management reserves the right to remove any banner, sign, or flag that is in violation of the policy.“
That makes sense to me. Odd that some nutcases were actually asking what the policy was. What did they expect? “Only signs that cannot be read from the 50-yard line will be allowed.“ Big Brother gets the last laugh. As always.

Okay, so signs are once again allowed in Scott Stadium.
By the way, what about the UVa football team, which has blocked out all of the view of action that occurs near the sideline for the past 40 years? Shouldn’t they be sitting on the bench, like basketball players do, so the fans can see the plays that happen along the sideline? Eh…..
