Staying behind: Virginia’s travel list

Virginia released its travel list as a part of the pre-game notes package. I find it interesting every year when it is announced for the first time each season. It tells you where certain first-year players stand at the moment.
Here is a list of the players that did not make the trip: WR Patch Duda, QB Warner Blunt, QB Rico Smalls, P John Thornton, QB Pete Lalich, WR Javarris Brown, PK Chris Hinkebein, QB Brendan Lane, WR Matt Snyder, QB Kyle McCartin, WR Johnny Pickett, WR Zach Mendez-Zfass, RB Torrey Mack, S Rico Bell, P Nathan Rathjen, CB Brandon Jarvis, LB John Bivens, TB Max Milien, LB Brady Stovall, LB Aaron Clark, DB Devin Wallace, DL Tory Allen, FB Curt Orshoski, LB Bill Schautz, LB Terrence Fells-Danzer, LB Aaron Taliaferro, LB Daniel Childress, OL Mike Price, OG Billy Cuffee, C John Maghamez, OL Matt Mihalik, OG Dave Roberts, OL Aaron van Kuiken, TE Mark Ambrose, TE Rod Wheeler, WR Ray Keys, TE Colter Phillips, TE Andrew Dewey, DL Buddy Ruff and DE Sean Gottschalk.
A few names in that group stood out. Obviously, Lalich tops the list. I would have guessed that Rico Bell would have made the trip, too. More after the National Anthem.
