Stopped short: Wake 28, UVa 3 (3rd Qtr.)

Posted on 11/08 at 06:22 PM

The Cavaliers had a chance to make this game interesting. That was not in the cards after four predictable plays were called in the red zone. Sad. When you are running out of time, you need to put the ball in the air to keep the clock stopped as much as possible. If nothing else throw on running downs and run on throwing downs. That would be too hard. ... After three quarters, Virginia has 166 yards of total offense. That has come on 40 total plays. Marc Verica now has 127 yards passing and counting. Is Wake playing its prevent defense?
