Touchdown ... or not: Clemson 10, UVa 3 (4th Qtr.)
Virginia was forced to punt after the penalty. Al Groh, Virginia’s coach, was not thrilled by the call (to say the least). Ogletree also protested. In a game where everything seems to hinge on a handful of plays, it was certainly costly for UVa. ... Is it just me or is the Coastal Division title like the plague? Nobody seems to want it. Miami did not on Thursday. Virginia Tech did not at Miami. North Carolina is losing to N.C. State. Georgia Tech rolled over against Virginia earlier this season. Perhaps GT is in the best spot merely being in the clubhouse at 5-3 in ACC play. ... Reps from the Eagle Bank Bowl and the Peach Bowl are here today. The Obama Bowl makes sense, but the Peach Bowl official must have wanted a tour of Monticello. The only scenario I could see that would have Virginia in Hotlanta includes a loss in the ACC championship game. Even then, the Cavaliers would have to make a pretty sweet pitch as a team with a 7-6 record.
