Trifecta time: UConn 28, Virginia 3 (3rd Qtr.)
Virginia has points. It looked as though that would be impossible for the first 30 minutes of the game. The offense actually looked rather fluid on the drive as the QB Marc Verica connected with a host of different receievers, including Kevin Ogletree. The wideout was helped off the field with 30 seconds left in the first half, but appears to be OK. ...Virginia needed a touchdown on the drive but had to settle for a 43-yard penalty after Will Barker played like the Will Barker of 2006. Is it time to pull the plug on the big fella and take a look at Austin Pasztor or Landon Bradley. I know it will not happen, but some quarterbacks may be thinking such thoughts.
