Zimmerman inks new deal with Washington Nationals
After being paid $465,000 in 2008, Ryan Zimmerman agreed to a one-year deal with the Washington Nationals for $3.325 million and includes up to $175,000 in incentives.
Considered the franchise player for the team, the 24-year-old hit .283 with 14 homers and 51 RBI a season ago. Zimmerman missed much of June and July, however, after a shoulder injury landed the budding star on the disabled list.
