Christmas Eve dinner in our family is a serious ritual. For generations we’ve eaten the same traditional Czechoslovakian four course meal, promptly at 6 p.m. But Thanksgiving is another matter entirely. Sometimes we have pumpkin pie, sometimes it’s a low-carb pumpkin custard. Green bean casserole gets switched up with brussels sprouts. Our favorite recent menu addition: bourbon sweet potatoes. And now that Halloween is a fond candy-coma memory, let the culinary games begin! While it’s too soon to nail down the menu, we’ve begun dreaming up our ideal feast and advocating for our must-have favorites.
