Great finds, great artists at the Artisans Studio Tour

image image While laying out a spread for HOMEstyle on the Artisan Center of Virginia’s Artisans Studio Tour, I fell in love with the textile designs of Lotta Helleberg.

I myself, love printing and the different printing processes and Lotta fuses that with the season’s foliage and eco-friendly dyes to capture nature’s simplicity and beauty. She hand prints everything, where the impressions of the actual leaves make the pattern. Her thoughtfully-crafted handiwork comes to fruition in the form of zip bags, linens, pillows, wall art and paper goods.

I can’t wait to visit the Barn Swallow, (#7 on the Artisans Studio Tour) not only to see Lotta’s designs but also the nature-inspired work by Janice Arone, Mary Ann Burk and Enid Adams. As an avid letter writer, I’m looking forward to the paper goods that Lotta will have at the studio tour. (examples pictured)

So be sure to check out Lotta’s work at www.inleafdesign.com and visit some of the local artists on November 15 and 16 during the 14th annual Artisans Studio Tour, www.artisancenterofvirginia.org.

Cool, blog! Thanks for posting about this art. It is refreshing to see such work that is actually hand printed as opposed to something you buy at Target.
