When I bought my new MacBook Pro a couple months ago, I decided I didn’t want a ridiculously huge and unattractive laptop case. After looking around a bit, I finally found the nearly perfect bag. Built NY Laptop Case in “Dot No.7/Powder Blue.“
I initially bought the Built NY Laptop Sleeve at Best Buy, but still wasn’t satisfied. Every once in a while I’d see another product from Built NY and finally found their laptop case online. It’s curvy design and ingenious construction of abrasion resistant material and protective extra-thick neoprene fabric, lends itself to ease of movement while providing a durable shell for your laptop. I was sold; I decided to splurge and order this swanky laptop tote.
I don’t carry my laptop around too often, but on a recent trip to visit my sister, I got to test the bag out. Here’s what I found.
Things I love about this bag:
Its removable laptop insert allows me to easily retrieve and replace my laptop to and from my bag. It also adds stability when using the laptop, well, on my lap. Not to mention, it’s 4 pockets on the flip side houses important items like my thumb drive, cds and phone.
The soft-grip handles on this bag are amazingly accessible. I think it’s probably because the material is so pliable and moldable, it fits right to your hand. This helps so much, especially when I’m always on the go and need to pick up my bag and run.
The only drawback:
Since this bag is made of neoprene - the same material used for wetsuits - it’s usually a tight fit and you can see the shape of all your contents. But, this is easily remedied by balancing the contents evenly and routinely cleaning out your bag. (Which is actually a good thing for me!)
