The Charlottesville Women’s Choir will hold its 26th Annual Spring Concert—this year to benefit The Haven—on May 22.

The Haven is a local resource for the hungry, disadvantaged and homeless in our community. It provides a centralized space for resource provides, a community kitchen, a day haven and a cultural and arts space in downtown Charlottesville.

The Charlottesville Women’s Choir was founded in 1984 with 11 members and has grown to 30 women. This year the group continues with its tradition of a yearly spring benefit concert. In the past, the choir has donated proceeds from the spring concert to local charities, including: Shelter for Help in Emergency; Sexual Abuse Resource Center; The Courage Fund of the Quality Community Council; Barrett Day Care Center; Skyline Girl Scouts; and Women Build.
