Another Mother’s Day comes and goes and my mom is gone another year, and I am a mother myself one more year.

Wanting to “get in” through her apparent immaturity and “Pollyanna spin,“ Dr. Phil believes he’s gotten through to a con artist who’s been caught in a trap of her own .

As a journalist, it becomes pretty rare to become shocked or have emotional reactions to things that happen every day in our world.There are stories that get to you a little more than others, for sure, but most only manage to get a few seconds of your time before you rationalize and move on.

Last week, however, one story really got me.
