Tom Perriello: 100 days
On Wednesday, Perriello marked his first 100 days as the representative of the 5th Congressional District, which stretches from the Charlottesville region down to the Southside communities of Danville and Martinsville.

2009 Charlottesville Marathon
Charles “Chuck” Engle blistered the competition with a 2:38:58 victory. Law student Jacqueline Choi was a little over 30 minutes slower than her time last year. But most of the runners in between agreed that the thrill of conquering the hilly 26.2-mile course was a victory in itself.

The Dead: Charlottesville 4/15
It began in typical shambolic fashion - the disheveled-looking band ambled onstage, noodled around with instruments for a few minutes as if at sound check and then, with a few foot taps from Phil Lesh, launched into the first song of a three-hour night.
