South Lawn Dedication
The University of Virginia’s newly built South Lawn on Friday.The $102.5 million, 116,000square-foot South Lawn provides homes for three academic departments and is connected with central Grounds through a stepped terrace across Jefferson Park Avenue.
The commons building contains lounges and a cafe with three-story glass walls. The glass walls are framed by two west-facing porches that serve as entrances to the perpendicular wings of the complex.
