Bush at Monticello: This just in….
I told you about the letters from folks asking Monticello to disinvite (uninvite? deinvite? You be the decider) President Bush from the Fourth of July celebration and naturalization ceremony. In fact, I even gave you a sample of the several dozen letters that we received. So now, in the interest of fair play, I present to you every letter we have so far received supporting the decision.
Daily Progress - FYI:
I called Monticello and thanked them for inviting President George W. Bush to be a part of welcoming America’s newest citizens on a special day for them at the home of our third president, Thomas Jefferson.
Those who are there to protest the President are participating in a selfish act that has nothing to do with the President or the naturalized citizens who have worked hard to earn their citizenship ... and has everything to do with the protesters who hate President Bush and possibly hate America, too.

What a joke. Why is disapproving of this man’s terrible presidency so often equated with hating America? It is precisely because I care about my country that I’m so disturbed by Bush’s mismanagement of it. If I hated America, Bush would be my #1 fan. As for his visit to Monticello on the 4th, just read the oath that those who are becoming citizens that day will be taking - it’s laughable to think of Bush speaking at or even attending such a ceremony. That combined with the fact that he will be at the home of the former president who was so influential in securing the most important of our country’s freedoms while Bush himself has taken action to erode those freedoms is exactly why he has no business attending this ceremony.

BUSH has never care about the people here at home, he is looking at what it can do for him. He has been in office for eight years, and never attend. We can hate what bush has done to our beautiful country ,but hating him and together with our country one has nothing to do with the other so do not connect the two.
