Happy Cake and Votes

George Phillies’ campaign for U.S. President is really cooking: The Libertarian candidate sent out holiday greetings for Christmas/Boxing/New Year’s Days complete with a couple of recipies for his favorite deserts.

If you’re interested in a little Libertarian fare, honey cakes and kaurabides, check out his Website at http://phillies2008.org and check out the “press” tag.

“Whether we say Merry Christmas or Happy Hanukkah or simply happy holidays, the sentiment and the smile that accompanies it are the same.  One wonderful thing about the holiday season is that it reminds all Americans, no matter our faith or our party, that someday we will reach that brighter future,” Candidate Phillies said in a Dec. 26 press release.

Phillies’ Website—it’s a good thing he has one being as no one knows who the hell he is—warns that America is in trouble because “… the national debt increased by more than $500 billion. It’s more than 9 trillion dollars. We are selling our grandchildren into debt slavery. Civil liberties are collapsing. Bush Republicans ignore our civil rights...”

Then, instead of promising or politicking, Phillies provided some recipies “from my family to yours.”

“I wish you the happiest of holidays and best hopes for peace, liberty and prosperity in the new year,” he said.

Hey. he may not get elected, but at least he’s different.
