STAB star is now a Wolverine

St. Anne’s-Belfield catcher Kevin White is now the latest NCAA Division I athlete to come out of the Saints’ fantastic atheltic program. The University of Michigan announced on Thursday its signing class and White was among the top recruits to join the Wolverines.

White was an all-state selection both is sophomore and junior seasons at STAB and helped lead the Saints to a state title last spring. He’s ranked as the fourth-best prospect in Virginia and No. 142 in the country by Perfect Game.

“Kevin is very physical,“ Michigan coach Rich Maloney said in press release. “He played in the East Coast Professional Showcase. He played at a high level in summer baseball so he’s traveled all around playing. He has power; he runs well, has a strong arm and was very highly recruited. We’re just elated to have him join us. I think he has a great future ahead of him.“
