Shows will go on at PVCC
Since the dry weather forced the cancellation of everything in town on Friday, we missed out on the opportunity to see the free screening of the best animated movie of the year.
That’s right, Oscar served “Ratatouille” with a little golden man on Sunday.
The folks at Piedmont Virginia Community College were obviously bummed that they had to cancel the show. But you know the rules. If you can’t go to school, you can’t go out to play.
But the good news is that the other shows will go on. And, boy, do those kids in the Student Art Club know how to pick a winner.
The club will have a free screening of “No Country for Old Men” at 7:30 p.m. March 31.
As you should know by now, “No Country” won four old gold men — best picture, best directors, best screenplay and best supporting actor. Javier was one scary dude. His haircut alone is enough to put you on edge.
If you haven’t had a chance to see the movie, mark your calendar for the free show in the Dickinson Theater.
It’s also the same day as the opening of PVCC’s Student Art Show and the Seventh Annual Chocolate Chowdown.
Who needs ratatouille when chocolate is in the picture?
