This is Jim Sacco coming at you live from the Siegel Center in Richmond. The drive down here was uneventful (except for some slack-jawed numskull who kept cutting everybody off near Goochland) and, as I type this, Loudoun County is up 2-1 over Chancellor in the Group AA girls semifinals.
What do you expect me to do? Regal you with more stories of the Wilson Memorial volleyball team as they prepare for their Final Four appearance Friday in Richmond?
Do you want me to pat your collective hand, Fishersville, look you in the eye and say, “Don’t worry, it’s going to be OK”? You know, that things are going to go the Green Hornets’ way and they’ll come home with a title?

OK, Fishersville, it’s time to exhale.
Because you know that if you’re a fan of Wilson Memorial volleyball, and you looked at the Region B schedule and saw your girls were hosting, once again, Rappahannock County, you decided it would be a good idea to hold your breath.

Toggling between the butt-numbing bleachers and standing against a fence, I watched Justin Verlander give up one hit and lose to Clarke County. I watched Jake Peeling wrap his dad in a hug after pitching a no-hitter.
