Stating lineups and first quarter
The clock has been set to eight minutes and the teams are lined up.
Here come the starting lineups and both crowds are very loud. (Though the Freedom student section is much bigger than Lee’s). The good news for Lee fans is the student section has made it an “almost blackout” with most of the students wearing black shirts).
Daquaa Scott is reading the Lee sportsmanship code.

Mickens is going up against 6-3 Buchanan for the tip and Mickens wins it!
D. Scott powers her way in but misses. But steals it on the other end. Mickens layup, good. 2-0 Lee.
Dionna Scott make, tied at 2
Lee works it around. Mickens up top, finds D. Scott who takes a jumper and misses. Freedom pushes it up and Koditek makes it. 4-2 Freedom.
Steal by Freedom and they work it up. Mickens board, upcourt, to Crawford, but Buchanan blocks a D.Scott layup. Blair McDonough checks in for Lee.
It’s back up top for Lee and a turnover.
Freedom walks it up and steal by McDonough and Mickens coverts. We’re tied at 4.
Porter short jumper for Freedom. 6-4 Eagles.
Thompson miss and here comes the Eagles.
Dionna Scott trey for Freedom. 9-4 Eagles.
Lee works it around, but the Lee Ladies turn it over. Dionne Scott coverts and the Lee Ladies turn it over again. Hartman needs to take a timout here just to chill the girls down. 4:00 to play with Freedom up 11-4 and the student section starts a “You can’t stop us,“ cheer.
Thompson board and another turnover for Lee and it’s a TV timeout with 3:31 to play and Lee down 11-4.
Lee rebound off the miss, D. Scott misses the driving layup with and she’s called for a foul on the loose ball.
Freedom pushes it up, and it’s a tie up underneath with the arrow pointing Freedom’s way. Hartman pacing in front of the bench. Lee student section chanting for some defense but Porter is fould by Crawford and she’ll go to the line for two.
Porter hits the first (12-4 Freedom 2:26 to play) and she swishes the second.
They put on the press and Lee turns it over. Buchanan with a stickback and Hartman calls a much needed timeout with Lee down 15-4 with 2:10 to play in the first. Mickens miss and Dionna Scott coverts on the other end. Steal by Freedom and Dionna Scott hits the jumper and is fouled by Crawford. She’ll go for three the old fashioned way.
Dionna Scott hits it and it’s 20-4 Freedom.
Freedom keeps the press on and Lee called for a charge. It’s back to Freedom.
Turnover Freedom and Lee pushes it up but a pass saild out of bounds
Mickens steal and she’s fouled quickly. Lee ball, let’s see if they can snap this long scoring drought.
Mickens walks it up, Kendra Scott’s shot is blocked and McDonough scores the steal. Thompson miss. Lee holds onto it, Mickens air mails a shot. The nerves are showing here as is some youth.
