Sometimes you just gotta ask questions
You know like, what took you so long Waynesboro and Stuarts Draft to realize that what you’re doing Friday night and Jan 16 with your basketball teams (girls, boys doubleheaders at the schools) is the right way to go?
Hey, now what the heck are Fort Defiance and R.E. Lee waiting for?
Does someone need to nudge Kay Roberts at Lee to wake her up?
Or should someone throw a paper wad at Fort AD Jack Tucker?
When they wake up, should we all just point over to the Draft and Waynesboro and say, “Um, yeah. You know, that’s what we’ve been asking for all this time.“?
(And, when she wakes up, is the first thing out of Roberts’ mouth going to be, “Hey, let’s get the old Valley District together”? You know, like when the VHSL’s proposed five-division format was announced.)
Why couldn’t they do doubleheaders for the Waynesboro and R.E. Lee games?
Remember how much fun that Waynesboro boys and girls soccer doubleheader was back in the spring?
Remember the only reason that happened was because, hey, who cares if Rockbridge girls soccer loses a home match? (Well, for starters, how about Rockbridge girls soccer they might, oh, we don’t know, care a bit about losing that home match.)
Did anybody buy Waynesboro AD Mel Morris and his Draft counterpart, Steve Hartley, a Fresca yet for doing what they’ve done?
Or has anybody thanked them?
Or just sent an e-mail note to them?
Is Jim Critzer going to leave Waynesboro? (The answer is no, he said he’s not going to the beach for the summer just because he’s ready to sell the Generals, he’s going to stick around and help new owner Jerry Carter out as much as he can.)
When Carter puts out the Jim Critzer bobblehead doll when the Valley League season starts, will it dispense Tabasco out of his mouth? You know, to give it that hey-I’m-really-talking-to-Critzer feel.
Is anybody else sad that, when you think Waynesboro and baseball, the first thing to pop into your head will no longer be Critzer?
How long is the Stuarts Draft boys basketball team going to slip under the radar?
When will R.E. Lee girls become as dominant as they should be?
Ditto on the boys?
Quick, name me the three teams that will be involved in the Shenandoah Scamper for the district crown this year? First the girls.
OK, now how about the boys?
Seriously, will someone wake Roberts and Tucker up already?
Waiting. Wait. Ing.
