How could you forget?

The city of Waynesboro’s official Web site has posted a reminder about increased water, sewer and trash fees.

The water and sewer hikes are the third of five increases in order to help pay for improvements to the city’s aging infrastructure.

As we’ve already reported:

For a family of four, the total bi-monthly water and sewer bill would increase 33.2 percent, from $94.69 to $119.25 based on 11,000 gallons used in a two-month span, but the total bill would fluctuate based on usage.

The fees:

Water: up from $2.61 to $3.53 per 1,000 gallons used
Sewer: up from $4.68 to $5.32 per 1,000 gallons used.
Trash: up from $12.50 to $14.50 monthly.

New rates will apply to all accounts billed after Jan. 1. Bills are sent out bi-monthly.

You could always buy something like this from Vector to save some money on those bills, but know this won’t be the last of these increases.
