March for peace and justice in Staunton

More than 150 people turned out for the March for Peace and Justice in Staunton as part of a community vesper service at Central United Methodist Church to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., according to NBC29 (See NBC29 video).

The event, according to Mary Baldwin College professor Jim Gilman, remembers King’s “ideals of non-violence, peace, justice, mercy and grace.“
