Out of the cave

image

Convergence Coordinator Jim Sacco (who also plays sports columnist and blogger here at The News Virginian) emerged from his blinds-always-closed cave shortly before 4 p.m. today, leaving the comfort of his Cubs memorabilia behind to lead a short newsroom tour for a group of local home schooling students and their parents.

He talked reporting, he talked layout. He talked about himself and the Happy Daizies stunt bike he has been keeping in his office for two years.

He made nice with reporters and copy editors, gave a shout out to our media partners at NBC 29 and complained that someone won’t let him buy a Playstation 3. He said that a few times, actually.

And, as he deserves according to his hourly rate, he earned 65 cents for the effort.
