Singletary not the fastest

Virginia point guard Sean Singletary is definitely one of the fastest players I’ve ever seen, but I’m pretty sure he’s not the fastest in the ACC.
That honor has got to go to Wake Forest point guard Ishmael Smith. That guy can fly!
He just went in for a coast-to-coast layup that took all of about two seconds.
He reminds me a little bit of Boston Celtic point guard Rajon Rondo with his crazy athleticism.

It’s Tourney Time!

CHARLOTTE—As a basketball junkie, I’m pretty fired up right now.
The ACC Tournament has just gotten underway. Wake Forest’s L.D. Williams just nailed a jumper against FSU.
My juices have been flowing since I woke this morning. I walked outside my hotel room at the Westin and Dick Vitale just so happened to be standing right in front of my door. He was pacing back and forth in the hallway. Apparently, he was doing his cardio!
I was shocked to see that he wasn’t wearing Duke or North Carolina workout gear.

They’re Gonna Play!

An announcement was just made that the game will start in about five minutes.
Apparently, both Dave Leitao and Frank Haith have agreed to play with a rim that is slightly unlevel…I’ve inspected the rim and it really doesn’t look very noticeable.
If you can believe it, they aren’t going to sing the National Anthem or announce the starting lineups here. I’ve certainly never seen that before!
