Defense Key To The Win
It’s hard to say what was more impressive tonight—Virginia’s efficient offense or its rock-solid D.
I’m gonna go with the D. It really seemed like UNC was shooting contested jumpers all game long—that is the goal of Bennett’s “Pack-Line” D.
This is the kind of performance I was expecting to see against Wake a couple of Saturdays ago.
Tonight, UVa completely took away all of UNC’s inside options and made them chuck stuff up from the outside.
Job well done.
You can’t help but feel happy for the guys as they celebrate on the sideline at the Dean Dome. Will Sherrill just let out a primal scream.
It stinks that I’m not there. I’ve missed all of four games in my five years on the beat. Can’t believe this is one of them!
It’s final. Virginia wins, 75-60.
