Still No Respect For Sylven
TV color man Len Elmore is the most recent media type to miss the boat on Virginia guard Sylven Landesberg.
During the Clemson-FSU broadcast, Elmore gave his All-ACC team. Shockingly, the squad included four guards. Even more shockingly, Landesberg was not one of them.
Elmore’s squad: Duke’s Jon Scheyer and Nolan Smith, Virginia Tech’s Malcolm Delaney, Maryland’s Greivis Vasquez and Wake Forest’s Al-Farouq Aminu.
Clearly, Landesberg should have made this particular squad over Smith. IMO, he should have made it over Delaney as well.
How do you not pick Landesberg—a player who has Virginia in fourth place right now. Did Elmore forget that this is a squad that won all of 10 games last season and was picked to finish 11th this season?
Ridiculous.
Nolan Smith?!
He didn’t even pick the best guard named Smith in the conference—Ish Smith of Wake Forest.
