the Waynesboro Players’
production of “Peter Pan.”

WAYNESBORO: Enjoy a feast for the eyes and ears with “Peter Pan,” the Waynesboro Players’ production running this weekend only. Based on the story by Scottish playwright J.M. Barrie, “Peter Pan” takes the audience on the journey of the Darling children as they travel to Neverland with Peter Pan, where they experience adventure with Peter and the Lost Boys, encountering pirates, fairies and other magical creatures. The play features five amazing sets, 33 amazing actors (most of them kids!) and great music. The show will start at 8 p.m. on Friday in Waynesboro High School’s Spilman Auditorium. Tickets for the show are $15 for adults and $8 for students (high school age or under). Tickets can be purchased online at http://www.WaynesboroPlayers.com, at the door or at the following locations: Waynesboro Public Library, Waynesboro Florist, Waynesboro Garden Center and Quality Cleaners in Waynesboro; Augusta Insurance Agency in Fishersville; Village Green Florist in Stuarts Draft; Granny’s Attic in Verona; and the Bookstack and Shenandoah Travel Agency in Staunton. Artworks by Dabney Mahanes are
currently on display at SVAC.

WAYNESBORO: Catch the newest art exhibits at Shenandoah Valley Art Center, 126 S. Wayne Avenue in downtown Waynesboro, open from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday. The main gallery exhibit, “Expressions” by Dabney Mahanes, are a collection of works focused primarily on the human figure, with bright colors and distinctive texture. Mahanes, now living in South Carolina, was originally from Waynesboro. While you’re at SVAC, also check out the exhibition of photographs by members of the Art Center Camera Club in the hall galleries, and original prints and drawings in the members gallery.

STAUNTON: It’s spring at the Frontier Culture Museum (off Route 250), time for the 1750s “settlers” to plant their staple crops, corn and squash, and build and mend fences to keep the wild animals out of their fields. Lend a hand (or just watch) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

AUGUSTA COUNTY: Enjoy home-cooked Sunday dinner, be entertained by the dramatic stylings of an area theater group and help out a local boy in need.
