My son and his 3 three college classmates came all the way from Ashland, Ohio to “win free food” - they had no idea of all the fun they would have - they were just interested in taking a road-trip together and the chance to get free chicken sandwiches. They had a blast and met some nice folks in the process (and they also got ‘free food!‘)

I find it amazing that people would actually camp out in the parking lot for the grand opening of a fast food restaurant, and one that’s not a particularly new concept.  There are already Chick-fil-a restaurants in Charlottesville and Harrisonburg, and this location is likely not that much different from those locations.  Plus let us not forget that Chick-fil-a food is not particularly good food, which just adds to my amazement that people would camp out.  I can think of better things to camp out for than a fast food restaurant with mediocre food at best and existing locations relatively nearby.
