BUCKINGHAM—Song writer, producer, performer, hip hop and R&B artist Freddy Jackson has wrapped up his 2010 club tour with a performance in Markham, Ill., and announced the release of his debut album, “Music Money Love Hustle,” a treasury of songs about love, life and self-reflection.

The youngest son of Queen and Charles Jackson produced an 18-track CD that reflects his enduring love of music and, Jackson says, shows “the best of both worlds” that have influenced his (sometimes brow-raising) song titles.

“I really don’t have a ‘side’,” says the artist whose church-going mom and club owner dad introduced him to a range of ideals and lifestyles. “I like both.” And despite the impact some titles may have, Jackson assures that he tries to keep song lyrics respectable. “I don’t feel like I’m offending anybody or drawing lines,” he says. “These are true lyrics and, if people can relate to them, then I’m happy.”

Set aside any misgivings about the songs’ content, as the album’s tone is overwhelmingly positive. While some tracks are intended to “give off a nice vibe in the club,” others give an insight into the artist’s deeper values—compassion, caring and the importance of family.

For example, listen to a song like “Mary,” written about his grandmother, and it is quickly realized how important family is to the 20-something song writer.
“My grandmother was really sweet, always giving. Always. She gave, no matter how little she had,” says Jackson, who remembers a birthday celebration held in her honor. “She was enjoying herself of course, with all family around her, but she was trying to serve everybody and make sure everybody else was OK and having a good time, always trying to get us to eat.”

Jackson’s first CD includes the artist’s take on everyday life. “Look at ‘Pancakes,’ ‘Hennessy’ and ‘G2,’ on the album,” he says. “It is about coming together with family and friends. The vibe, the atmosphere, of enjoying each other.” Pancakes in the morning with the people he loves, hanging out in Buckingham with family on a lazy afternoon, “remembering old times of being around each other in a positive and vibrant environment.”

When he is not performing to crowds of people across America, Jackson works with at-risk and troubled teens in Pittsburgh, Penn., as a Case Manager for Three Rivers Youth—kids that he hopes to inspire by sharing his faith through music.

“I’m just a everyday guy trying to make a difference. My God put me on this path, I’m just on His mission” is part of a verse in “”His Way is My Way” that speaks of the singer’s faith. “Faith is what keeps me going,” he says. “The song is talking about God and I’m basically just being positive and going for the dreams He gave me, staying focused on the right path.”

His CD’s major message? “Have a love for what you do. That should be able to drive everything you get into.”

Jackson is agent-free for now, and can be booked for shows via his own website: http://freddy-jackson.com or through http://wwww.SonicBids.com, a community set up for independent artists who perform worldwide.
