Classes Begin to Become a Virginia Master Naturalist Published: January 04, 2012 Information sesssions scheduled to help you become a Virginia Master Naturalist. The sessions are free and open to the public. The first one is will be Tuesday, Jan. 3, at 7 p.m. at Ivy Creek Natural Area in Charlottesville. The second one will be Thursday, Jan. 5, at 7 p.m. at Mt. Zion First African Baptist Church. The last one will be Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 7 p.m. at Ivy Creek Natural Area in Charlottesville. If you enjoy the outdoors and want to volunteer to conserve our local natural heritage, consider becoming a Virginia Master Naturalist. The Rivanna Chapter’s next training session will be held Tuesday evenings and some Saturdays from Feb. 14 through May 22 at the Ivy Creek Natural Area. Those interested in the program are welcome to attend this free, informational meeting in the Education Center at Ivy Creek Natural Area.
