The Fluvanna Democrats, during the biennial Reorganization Caucus at the Fluvanna Library on Jan. 14, elected officers to serve as the Executive Committee for the next two years and changed the meeting dates to accommodate the committee members.

Elected Co-chairs will be Catherine Hobbs and Richard Koepsell; Secretary will be Kathryn Hunter; Treasurer will be Linda Parker; Vice chairs will be Marvin Moss and David Sagarin; and Precinct Captains include Michael Hartford (Palmyra), Marvin Moss (Columbia) Dave & Kathy Swenson Miller (Fork Union), Dick Bucci (Rivanna) and Kathleen Sheridan (Cunningham).

The members present thanked Cheryl Kasper and Susanna Seay for their several years efforts as, respectively, secretary and treasurer.

The committee changed the meeting date to the second Monday of each month, except December. The meeting dates for 2012 are: Feb. 13, March 12, April 9, May 14, June 11, July 9, Aug. 13, Sept. 10, Oct. 8, and Nov. 12.

The committee also tentatively agreed to continue hosting an annual Strawberry Social in the spring and planned to again host an annual barbeque, tentatively scheduled for early September at Pleasant Grove.

The caucus concluded with a delicious potluck of several dishes, prepared by the members present.
