Courtesy photo Published: December 07, 2011 On Oct. 28 Devin Watkins, James Barlow and the Fluvanna County High School Special Education department was presented with a grant from US Games and its affiliated company BSN Sports for $500. US Games and BSN Sports are two of the largest suppliers of sports and physical education products in America. With the use of grant money, these two companies combine to help schools and physical educators supply equipment for needy programs. In September, Watkins applied for one of these US Games and BSN Sports grants to help with the growing needs of his Adapted Physical Education classes. During the week of Oct. 28 Watkins was notified that he was one of the few individuals in the nation chosen to receive this grant. With the help form this grant, Watkins is excited that it will help provide some much-needed equipment for students with special needs. (4) Comments • Email This Article |
