McKenzie Marshall Receives Scholarship Published: December 28, 2011 McKenzie Marshall, the daughter of Robert and Terri Marshall of Palmyra, has received The Austin Family Scholarship, The Coach Lyle ’35 & Nancy McFall and Class of 1951 Endowed Scholarship and Eagle Scholarship at Randolph-Macon Academy. An Eagle Scholarship is awarded to a ninth through 12th grade boarding student with a cumulative 3.5 GPA or above. The scholarship is renewable each year provided the student maintains a minimum 3.5 while enrolled at R-MA. The Austin Family Scholarship Fund was established to provide meritorious students with a financial award to attend Randolph-Macon Academy. The scholarship is named in honor of the James Austin Family. McKenzie was formally presented with the scholarship during a ceremony held during Fall Family Weekend on Nov. 5. She is a junior at Randolph-Macon Academy. Randolph-Macon Academy (R-MA), founded in 1892, is a college-preparatory, coeducational boarding school for students in grades sixth through 12th. Students in grades ninth-12th participate in R-MA’s 91st Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC), which is recognized as an Outstanding Unit with Merit, and have the opportunity to participate in the Academy’s unique flight program.
