Voting Training has Begun Published: August 24, 2011 On Aug. 13, the Fluvanna County Registrar, Joyce Pace, led her staff, volunteers and the Fluvanna Board of Elections in the first of three “electronic poll book”(EPB) training sessions at the Fluvanna County Library. In the run up to the Aug. 23 primary, the remaining EPB training sessions were held and completed during the week of the Aug. 14. Fluvanna County Board of Elections is adopting this change from the traditional “paper” poll books to the more streamlined, electronic poll book process. The training sessions help poll workers develop the necessary skills to operate the EPB. Voters can expect to receive a printed voter check-in pass versus a cardboard chit, as they queue up to vote. Otherwise, the voting process will remain the same. Fluvanna residents wishing to help at the polls should contact Mr. Gene Demme, Secretary, Fluvanna Board of Elections at (434) 589-3593 to discuss the possibilities.
