Hundreds Gather for Rally Prior to Board Meeting Published May 23, 2012 Before the Board of Supervisors meeting on May 16, parents, teachers, students and other concerned residents held a rally outside of Central Elementary. Advocates for the schools and community services were out in full force, trying to bring awareness to their cause. Prior to the event, the “Save Our Schools Rally” had already garnered an enormous amount of attention on its Facebook page, which was created by Rebecca Newman, a teacher at Fluvanna County High School.
