The Fluvanna County High School athletic department is set to host the Phil Browning Memorial Golf Tournament on Sept. 29 at the Rivanna Ridge Golf Club.

The annual event, in its 12th year, has been the headline event for FCHS athletics. Money raised through the captain’s choice golf tournament helps fund the shortfall in athletic spending and two college scholarships for graduating seniors.

Teams have to register by Sept. 23. The day of the tournament, check in starts at noon with a tee off at 1 p.m. Team registration costs $270 per team and includes green fee, cart, range balls and dinner.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for local businesses ranging from hole signs to acknowledgement in the Fluvanna County High School’s Wall of Fame.
